What to Expect on the Skills Exam
The Skills Exam is your chance to demonstrate that you can accurately and safely perform essential nursing duties.
You will have 35 minutes to showcase the proper and complete technique for 5 skills randomly selected from the 22 core competencies taught in the CNA program.
Tested skills cover a wide range of critical tasks, including:
- Proper hand washing and infection control
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Rehabilitation and restorative care
- Incontinent care

We welcome students who completed their program at another Washington State institution to take their official Skills Exam at Iroko Bridge Academy.
Need a comfortable, convenient test site? We’ve got you covered. This service is available for a fee. Please contact us directly to inquire about dates, pricing, and registration details for external testing.
Computer-based Testing
Iroko Bridge Academy is an official, certified Computer-based testing site for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students in Washington State.
We work directly with the computer-based test provider, Credentia, to provide a comfortable, quiet and familiar environment to take the final computer-based National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam.
Just like with the Skills Test, we are all about setting you up for success! By hosting the computer-based test on our campus, we take away all the stress of testing in an unfamiliar environment. Instead, you will already be familiar with the location and staff, and can focus all your energy on passing the test!
What to Expect on the Computer-based Exam
The written exam will have seventy (70) multiple-choice questions. You will have two (2) hours to complete the examination.
The questions cover a wide range of topics discussed during the CNA training course, including:
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Basic Nursing Skills
- Self-care and Independence
- Psychosocial Care Skills
- Role of the Nurse Aide

We welcome students who completed their program and Skills Testing at another Washington State institution to take the official computer-based exam at Iroko Bridge Academy.
Accreditation
Iroko Bridge Academy is licensed to operate as a private vocational school by the Washington State Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board (WTB).
Nursing Assistant training programs offered at Iroko Bridge Academy are licensed by the Washington State Boarding of Nursing (WABON) and are compliant with Federal OBRA regulations.
